Details: Back by popular demand! This is going to be an AMAZING presentation designed specifically for our female student athletes, female coaches, and moms! Everyone is welcome though. Coaches, she has great tips for everyone!
Erin Green has a Master’s degree in dietetics and is a registered dietician nutritionist. She also has a BS in Sports Science and is an accomplished cyclist and triathlete. Erin loves working with women and girls and is very passionate about having a positive influence on the next generation of young, female athletes. Here’s an overview about what we’ll cover:
- Intro
- Basic Nutrition: Athlete’s Plate, overview of the food groups and what they do for performance
- Fueling for performance—pre, during and post-activity nutrition + fueling on the go, bike specific considerations for carrying fuel/fluid, timeline for race day
- Body changes and female athletes – changes in shape, size, coordination, breasts/hips and comfort of athletic clothing, periods and symptom/bleeding management as an athlete
- Summary and goal setting
