NICA Moms Ride and Skills Clinic

May 11 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Where: Eagle Bike Park, Eagle ID

We’re celebrating Mother’s Day a day early!  This event was so popular last year, we’re doing it again this year.  This year, we’ll have two different options to choose from: a beginner skills clinic and a social ride.

The clinic is especially for the true beginner moms out there who want to learn some basic mountain bike skills so they can feel more comfortable riding with their kids. We’ll be covering topics like body position, cornering, braking, shifting, and climbing techniques on the concrete pad and grass area of the bike park.  Our goal is to get out on the trail for a short ride!  The clinic will be limited to 10 participants.

The social ride is for moms of all skill levels who are fairly comfortable riding on dirt trails.  Our coaches leading the ride may choose to stop at various sections of the trail to work on certain skills.  Depending on the number of riders who register, we may break the ride up into a few different groups.

All participants to either portion of this event will need to bring your mountain bike, helmet, hydration (pack or 2 bottles), a snack or two you can eat during the clinic or ride, and riding shoes/clothes.  You must sign up for this event to ensure we have enough coaches to make the clinic run smoothly.

After the rides are done, we’ll gather back at the park for some social time.  Bring a picnic lunch or some snacks and hang out with other NICA moms!  Wellness Coach (and a mom/coach for Centennial High) Erica Davis will give a short presentation about self care.

PLEASE NOTE!  All participants must sign an online waiver.  There is a link to this waiver below.
