DESCRIPTION:This is a trip intended for female student-athletes and coaches.  Camps will include instruction on packing your bikes\, backcountry camping\, Leave No Trace principles\, trip planning\, navigating\, route finding\, backcountry safety plus much more. Instruction will take place on-the-bike as we ride a section of either the Idaho Hotsprings Bikepacking Route or the Moody Forest Loop\, enjoying the gorgeous mountains of central and east Idaho. Each route will cover roughly 65 miles through some of the most beautiful terrain Idaho has to offer. We will ride primarily on Forest Service roads while camping at dispersed sites in the Payette and Targhee national forests. \nJuly 11-13\, 2024: GRiT Introduction Trip\n•  Warm Lake to McCall\n•  69 miles over 3 days of riding\n•  5\,973′ of climbing\,  6\,277′ of descent \nRegistration is completed in the Pit Zone.

DESCRIPTION:When: Friday\, August 9th\, 7pm to 8:30pm \nWhere: Smith Park Gazebo\, Rexburg ID \nEast Main St\, Rexburg\, ID 83440 \nDetails: \nPlease join us for a GRiT Basic Bike Maintenance Clinic!  Joe from Sled Shed will be leading this hands-on class. We’ll cover topics like: \n-ABCDE pre-ride bike check\n-Proper tire inflation\n-How to clean and lube your chain\n-How to fix a tubeless flat \nWhat to bring: Please bring your bike!  This will be a hands-on class.  Also\, please bring a folding/camp chair of some sort to sit on (or you can just sit on the grass). \nCost: FREE \n\nPARENTS!  Please fill out one form for each child.  Your child must be registered and “practice ready” in Pit Zone to participate in this event.
