DESCRIPTION:In-person leader summits are important to make sure that our leaders are aligned appropriately with NICA’s mission\, vision\, values and culture.\nAdditionally these summits provide a valuable opportunity for team leaders to network with each other\, build relationships and strengthen our Idaho NICA community.\n\nTopics for the summit will include: \n\nCommitment to following NICA safety protocols/guidelines for practices\, pre-rides and races\nHow to manage disagreements/conflict with mutual respect\nReview of IICL Rules\nReview of NICA Insurance and Injury Reporting System\nReview of NICA resources for coaches\nStrategic vision for the IICL (league split)\nCoach succession planning\nSeason planning for student-athlete success\nWorking with outside agencies for permitting (many of our teams are now being required to obtain permits for practices)\nOther topics as needed – please feel free to submit requests for topics to consider below\nOptional in-person OTB101 for those coaches needing this for Level 2/3\n\n\nExact location: Avimor Community Center\, Avimor\, ID \nThese summits are geared toward coaches in a leadership role on an IICL team and all attendees should be a NICA Level 2 or 3 coach\, or working toward Level 2/3 with only WFA and/or OTB101 remaining.  If you are interested in attending but do not meet these requirements\, please email Eddie (eddie@idahomtb.org) to request approval to attend. \nThere is no cost to attend\, however pre-registration is required.  Please register HERE. \nThere will be an optional group ride at the end of day.

DESCRIPTION:This is a trip intended for female student-athletes and coaches and is an introduction trip intended for first time bikepackers.  Camps will include instruction on packing your bikes\, backcountry camping\, Leave No Trace principles\, trip planning\, navigating\, route finding\, backcountry safety plus much more. Instruction will take place on-the-bike as we ride through beautiful backcountry roads and trails\, enjoying the gorgeous mountains of central and east Idaho. Each route will cover roughly 65 miles through some of the most beautiful terrain Idaho has to offer. We will ride primarily on Forest Service roads while camping at dispersed sites in the Payette and Targhee national forests. \nJuly 30-August 1\, 2026: Beginner/Introduction Trip\n•  Start/Finish TBD\n•  TBD miles over 3 days of riding\n•  TBD’ of climbing and descent \nRegistration is completed in the Pit Zone.
