In-person leader summits are important to make sure that our leaders are aligned appropriately with NICA’s mission, vision, values and culture.
Additionally these summits provide a valuable opportunity for team leaders to network with each other, build relationships and strengthen our Idaho NICA community.
Topics for the summit will include:
- NICA safety protocols/guidelines for practices, pre-rides and races
- How to manage disagreements/conflict with mutual respect
- Updates of IICL rules
- Updates on NICA Code of Conduct (Student, Coach and Adult)
- Managing team and league growth
- Managing trail congestion and user conflict
- Working with outside agencies for permitting (many of our teams are now being required to obtain permits for practices)
- Managing the relationship with outside racing development teams
- Other topics as needed
Lunch, drinks and snacks will be provided.
Exact location: TBD
These summits are geared toward coaches in a leadership role on an IICL team and all attendees should be a NICA Level 3 coach, or working toward Level 3 with only WFA remaining. If you are interested in attending but do not meet these requirements, please email Eddie (eddie@idahomtb.org) to request approval to attend.
There is no cost to attend, however pre-registration is required. Please register HERE.
There will be an optional group ride at the end of day.
