DESCRIPTION:Wilderness First-Aid For Coaches \nCourse Schedule: Saturday & Sunday 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM \nRegistration Information:  The cost for this course is normally $255.  IICL coaches will receive a discounted rate of $185 by using the code ‘IICLCOACH25‘ during checkout. Register HERE. \nOther Info: This course is taught by Cascade Raft and Kayak.  Participants will receive a 3-year certification from Sierra Rescue for WFA and 2-year for CPR. \nThis 16-hour class will fulfill NICA Coach Licensing Level 2 & 3 First Aid requirements. Open to all Level 1-3 NICA Coaches. \nThe Wilderness First Aid Course will meet all requirements outlined by the Wilderness Medical Society for the WFA certification\, which will include Patient Assessment and Movement\, as well as Managing Major Trauma\, Wounds\, and Musculoskeletal Injuries.  We will also devote time to Common Medical and Environmental Problems\, particularly those relevant to Cycling Coaches and Leaders. \nWhile we’ll cover the full spectrum of required topics\, there will be an emphasis on simple strategies for handling common problems.  There will be time for questions and discussion in the highly interactive learning environment. Significant time will also be devoted to hands-on practice\, scenarios\, and case studies to help ingrain knowledge gained during lecture.

DESCRIPTION:ON-THE-BIKE 101\nNICA’s On-the-Bike (OTB) 101 course is required for all Level 2 and 3 coaches. OTB 101 introduces the essential mountain bike skills that student-athletes need\, while also helping coaches learn how to effectively teach these skills in a youth development setting.
